Another family we are proud to call our friends! We’ve known the Schantz family for several years and we’ve been talking for some time about their family portrait session. It was important to include their dog Maggie, who is, in dog years, the oldest family member. It was also important to not only photograph them as a family, but to capture the kids as who they are…right now. Not when those missing teeth fill in or when the hair grows to a certain length, but now, before they change one teeny bit more. How many times have you realized that your child must have grown a foot over the summer? How many of us have looked through old pictures of ourselves as kids to realize that our parents stopped taking professional photographs of us at age 5 (if we were lucky) and began relying on school pictures? Yuk! We’re so happy to have been a small part in preserving who this family is to one another, who these children are to their parents, and what may be the last portrait of sweet Maggie this summer. We hope this will become a tradition for the Schantz family. And for yours.
